Come and join us in the fun of learning to SWIM!

Learning to swim is an essential and fun part of growing up. Being able to swim gives children confidence and encourages them (and their parents) to participate in regular exercise, which is good for their health. At The Sheffield Swim School Ltd, we cater for all levels of swimming capability and have swimming lessons to suit all ages...from babies to adults. We also go beyond just swimming lessons and actively encourage swimmers to take up swim-based sports.

Having spent most of her life in the pool as a competitor, tutor and recreational swimmer, Wendy Figures set up the The Sheffield Swim School in 2001 with the aim of bringing fun and a real sense of achievement into learning to swim. As Wendy says: “We want everyone to share this passion of swimming so, all classes have a play based approach which is why the logo for the swim school is ‘come and join us in the FUN of learning to swim’"

Pools: We operate from one pool in Sheffield, which benefit from warm water at approx 90F.

Qualifications: All the teachers at the swim school are qualified ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) Swim Teachers. which is the governing body of the sport.
